The last six weeks have flown by, and this week the 2019 One Room Challenge (sponsored by Better Homes & Gardens) designers revealed their new rooms, including three featuring LIFECORE engineered hardwood floors. Three different styles, three different spaces, and three different floors: LIFECORE Anton Fresh Aire, LIFECORE Anew Gentling, and LIFECORE Abella Moderna. We think you’ll love how they turned out!
The Crowning Jewel of this Living Room
Jewel Marlowe’s living room redesign is complete with a sophisticated, European feel. From the powder blue walls to the accent curtains and wall mural, the colors really come to life in a space fullof natural light. At the foundation of it all are her new LIFECORE Anton Fresh Aire engineered hardwood floors.
“We installed DROP. DEAD. GORGEOUS. engineered hardwoods from LIFECORE Flooring. We opted for the Anton Fresh Aire style and I chose wisely, if do say so myself. These planks have so much character and natural beauty. One of my favorite parts about the new LIFECORE floors is that fact they it smelled like fresh cut wood when they were installed. With low VOC and a strong UV finish, these floors were a smart and heathy addition to our home.”
A Timeless Kitchen Update
Erika Ward’s Western Cape Classic design for her new kitchen pulls in subtle ocean colors and elements, bold blue curtains and all white cabinets, combining both African and Asian décor elements. With LIFECORE Abella Moderna serving as the foundation, it adds warmth to the space. Plus the low VOC was especially important to Erika now that her 6-year-old is one-year post chemotherapy.
“Nothing could have warmed up our new white kitchen better than the hand-scraped, acacia engineered hardwood floors. Not only do they coordinate perfectly with our existing kitchen table, the 7.5-inch wide planks makes our kitchen floor feel seamless and even more spacious.”
Master Closet Transformation
Stacey Ann Blake chose LIFECORE Anew Gentling for her master closet as a part of a larger master bathroom renovation for a seamless transition from the adjoining bath aesthetic. The earthy and modern design fits perfectly with deep wire brushed and reclaimed style of her new closet floors.
“The beautiful floor is from LIFECORE Flooring and I love that not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but it is also environmentally friendly.”
